A highly coveted Pygmy Angelfish species with dramatic black and white stripes and a glowing yellow underbelly. The Multibar Angelfish is unfortunately a rare species in the aquarium hobby, due to the fact they adapt poorly to aquariums and prepared diets when collected from the wild. However our aquacultured specimens are raised on a healthy diet of pellets and are quite accustomed to aquarium life. We find this species to be quite curious but also cryptic, much more secretive than the other species we have worked with.
The Multibar Angelfish grows to about 4.5” and does best with lots of rockwork to hide in and graze on. Like most Pygmy Angelfish, we would consider this species reef safe with caution, as they will probably pick at clam mantles and the fleshy parts of LPS corals and some SPS.
