The ORA Blue Iris is a compact coral with short smooth branches that form a dense cushion shaped colony. Branch structure is often similar to that of the Oregon Tort, while Blue Iris has long, tubular corallites and it is quite common for the large polyps to extend during daylight hours. The ORA Blue Iris has a yellow green base that blends into stunning cobalt colored tips. One of the more difficult corals to work with, Blue Iris is slow growing and has a relatively low new fragment survival rate.
